Show Yourself – Idina Menzel & Evan Rachel Wood | Frozen II has earned $38.6 million global in IMAX alone, a record for an animated feature.

Give or take Christmas legs or competition over the next month, it’s looking like a $415 million domestic/$1.185 billion global cume. But that’s an intentional underestimate, especially overseas, as it may just leg out like crazy in Japan (the first Frozen earned a ridiculous $247 million in Japan)

Menzel is known for playing Shelby Corcoran on the musical dramedy TV series Glee from 2010 to 2013 and Nancy Tremaine in the 2007 Disney live-action/animated film Enchanted. She also voiced Queen Elsa in Walt Disney Animation Studios‘ hit 2013 3D computer-animated musical film Frozen, in which she sang the Oscar– and Grammy Award-winning song “Let It Go”. The song reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making Menzel the first Tony Award-winning actress to reach the top 10.[3] In 2019, Menzel reprised her voice role as Elsa in Frozen 2. Her album Holiday Wishes was released in 2014 and reached number 6 on the Billboard 200.

In a recent interview on the Frozen 2 red carpet, Idina Menzel explained that the songwriters incorporated an E-Flat — like the one she must hit in “Let it Go” — and she will be paying for this decision for “the rest of [her] life and every other day that [she] can’t sing it,” as it’s a note that she has publically failed to achieve in the past. And, when you’re performing live, fans expect to see (or should we say hear?) you soar.

As most of you know, directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck and produced by Peter Del Vecho, Frozen 2 takes Anna (Kristen Bell), Elsa (Idina Menzel), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), and Olaf (Josh Gad) on an all-new adventure that finds Anna and Elsa investigating the truth behind their parents—and possibly Elsa’s powers. The sequel also features the voices of Evan Rachel WoodAlfred MolinaMartha PlimptonJason RitterCiarán HindsJeremy SistoAlan Tudyk, and Rachel Matthews.

“I would just go on the record saying I think that this film is better than the first. I do, I love it, you know? … I just, I love it. I love ‘Let It Go,’ obviously; it’s one of the great gifts of my life to have this song and this character in my life and what it represents and how it’s allowed me to connect with audiences all over the world. It’s changed my life. But I actually really enjoy — except for the really high note that’s going to give me problems on a day where I have a cold — I’ve loved singing [‘Into the Unknown’]. It makes me wanna cry, it gives me goose bumps when I listen to the underscore of it, the rolling bass line and the rhythm and everything. I just love it.

Now things are twice as ice. In Frozen 2 (in theaters Friday, November 22), Elsa and her sister Anna (Kristen Bell) embark on an adventure far away from the kingdom of Arendelle. Once again, they’re joined by friends Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), Olaf the snowman (Josh Gad) and Sven the reindeer. And of course, there will be singing along the way.

Show Yourself – Idina Menzel & Evan Rachel Wood

[Verse 1: Elsa]
Every inch of me is trembling
But not from the cold
Something is familiar
Like a dream I can reach but not quite hold
I can sense you there
Like a friend I’ve always known
I’m arriving
And it feels like I am home

[Pre-Chorus: Elsa]
I have always been a fortress
Cold secrets deep inside
You have secrets, too
But you don’t have to hide

[Chorus 1: Elsa, Siren]
Show yourself
I’m dying to meet you
Show yourself
It’s your turn
Are you the one I’ve been looking for
All of my life?
Show yourself
I’m ready to learn
Ah-ah, ah-ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah-ah

[Verse 2: Elsa]
I’ve never felt so certain
All my life I’ve been torn
But I’m here for a reason
Could it be the reason I was born?
I have always been so different
Normal rules did not apply
Is this the day?
Are you the way
I finally find out why?

[Chorus 2: Elsa]
Show yourself
I’m no longer trembling
Here I am
I’ve come so far
You are the answer I’ve waited for
All of my life
Oh, show yourself
Let me see who you are

[Bridge: Elsa]
Come to me now
Open your door
Don’t make me wait
One moment more
Oh, come to me now
Open your door
Don’t make me wait
One moment more

[Verse 3: Choir, Iduna, Elsa]
Where the north wind meets the sea (Ah-ah, ah-ah)
There’s a river (Ah-ah, ah-ah)
Full of memory (Memory, memory)
Come, my darling, homeward bound
I am found

[Chorus 3: Elsa & Iduna, Iduna & Choir, Elsa, Choir]
Show yourself
Step into the power
Throw yourself
Into something new
You are the one you’ve been waiting for
All of my life (All of your life)
Oh, show yourself

[Outro: Elsa, Choir]
Ah-ah, ah-ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah
