It’s been a couple years since RÜFÜS DU SOL became your favorite electronic trio with “Innerbloom.” In the interim, the Australian band toured the globe, performing for more than 100 sold-out audiences across 13 countries. That kind of work is exhausting but inspiring, and somewhere in there, RÜFÜS made time to write and record a third album in Venice, CA.

Alternative dance group RÜFÜS DU SOL made history at the inaugural Electronic Music Awards in 2017, where the Atlas producers took home the award for “Live Act of the Year,” triumphing over formidable fellow nominees, Bob Moses, Bonobo, Eric Prydz, and Porter Robinson & Madeon. Now, the trio have returned to after a two-year hiatus, ready to pick up where they left off with their first single of 2018, ‘No Place.’

“No Place” has the RÜFÜS DU SOL sound that they have honed over their last two albums, but really came into focus on their breakout sophomore release Bloom, which took them all over the world and put them on just about every major festival lineup imaginable. It also has a darker, clubbier side to it with some booming horns and melancholic strings. However, their jogging percussion and soothing melodies has everything fans will want.

[Verse 1]
I see you standing at the front of the land
Waiting for something I can’t make out
But I wanna talk to you, to pull you aside
I wanna ask you to come with me tonight
I wanna stay by your side

[Pre-Chorus]
While we untangle
World around
It’s unfair
I’m hearing sirens
Calling me closer to you
There’s no place I’d rather be
There’s no place I’d rather be

[Chorus]
There’s no place I’d rather be
I feel myself with you
There’s no place I’d rather be
I feel myself with you

[Verse 2]
You run your fingers through the palm of my hand
Pulling me closer, I’m drawn by your command
It’s like I’ve seen you, like I’ve known you before
An intuition that this is where I belong
Standing with you in my arms

[Pre-Chorus]
While we untangle
World around
It’s unfair
I’m hearing sirens
Calling me closer to you
There’s no place I’d rather be
There’s no place I’d rather be

[Chorus]
There’s no place I’d rather be
I feel myself with you
There’s no place I’d rather be
I feel myself with you
